Fire Watch Service is an on-call, onsite, site supervision service which provides hazard mitigation utilizing various resources for real time monitoring of potential fire hazard, and incident reporting of fire/smoke or other emergencies to local fire authorities. Fire watch service can be coordinated with a grazing program, Red Flag Service or other fire mitigation activities, providing an additional measure of mitigation and awareness of fire hazard especially during the peak fire season.
Effective management of fire hazard requires coordination between homeowners and fire prevention agencies such as fire departments, homeowners associations, as well as other municipal agencies with vested interest in the protection of open space, property, homes and municipal infrastructure. Fire Watch clients can increase their ability to quickly and accurately monitor high fire risk areas, such as Homeowners Associations in the Wildland Interface, Open Space Zones within the Interface Zone, as well as other urban and rural areas where fire has the potential to spread quickly. Fire Watch Service provides real time monitoring of neighborhoods, open space lands and Homeowners Associations during the fire season. Fire Watch managers coordinate with local fire departments providing onsite real time information regarding fire conditions, vegetation management, as well as providing real time response to fire in and around interface zones. Fire Watch service provides dedicated onsite personnel that report directly to fire authorities in the case of a Fire Emergency, providing accurate and detailed on scene information pinpointing the location of fire quickly. This provides an additional layer of support to Fire Departments, facilitating early deployment of fire fighting resources to optimize the containment of fire and protection of life and property.
Red Flag Service
Red Flag Days present the most severe and challenging conditions for fire suppression activity. High temperatures, and unusually windy conditions coupled with dry fuel loads can propel catastrophic fire conditions. During these times it is imperative that High Fire Prone Zones are monitored. Additionally, in areas of extreme concern, dedicated, trained fire crews with first responder capabilities (i.e. Wildland fire fighting training and equipment such as water tanks/trucks, and equipment to cut emergency fuel breaks) are deployed and on-call, in coordination with the Fire Watch Service.
